Basic Lizardman (with some sort of rifle)
This is a working draft of a basic lizardman. In order to make it more like the paper model, I'm going to make the armor a bit pointed and sorta cone-shaped.I'm having some trouble coming up with firearm weapons that a lizardman would wield, but I'll come up with something neat for the sake of this draft. If anyone would like to help design firearm weaponry for any of the races, feel free to do so. :D
I'm accepting feedback and suggestions as I continue with this drawing.
The armor on this guy gives him a vaguely old-fashioned look, even if he isn't, so I'd suggest a weapon to sort of match. Maybe a future-looking update of a bolt-action rifle or revolver? I'd help but I'm pretty much leaving today for a brief ski trip and I have an essay for another class to work on.
ReplyDeleteFor this design, it seems like you're going for a more modern military style. I think this in part due to the head shape (looks like a beret silhouette) as well as the limited armor.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to worry too much about the armor fitting the papercraft silhouette, but the actual body. The papercraft silhouette was really great, it had menace and mood. You should stick with it, as I think it reads better and has more personality
You might try designing it without the weapon so it's easier to see how the actual design is working as a whole
