This guy looks much more like a melee fighter- I don't think you need to worry about designing firearms for him, at least. The shoulder armor, while giving him a distinctive silhouette, doesn't come off as completely functional- maybe define some sort of use for it. Another idea- maybe scale armor rather than plate armor in at least some places- lizards do have scales after all. That's just something to experiment with though, not terrifically important.
